St. John, IN, Dentist OfficeOur History

Dear Patients,

I am writing to you with bittersweet news that I will be retiring this year. I’ve been performing dentistry for wonderful people like you for over 35 years. I must admit it has been a blessing for me personally to care for you, your friends and family. I can’t believe how quickly time has swept by; over the years I’ve come to build wonderful relationships with patients that come to see me and my wonderful team.

Many people have asked me “Aren’t you too young to retire?’ and to that I answer that I have enjoyed my time being of service, but it’s time for a different chapter for my wife and myself. My wife Fiona, of 35 years, is an avid painter and is currently taking a mastership course in watercolor painting. As for myself, I have many things I will enjoy including time with my adult children, athletic goals, winemaking, motorcycling and traveling with Fiona, just to name a few.

I will be leaving you in very capable hands with Dr. Philip Mangiaracina who completed his DDS degree at Temple University in Philadelphia and is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. I’ve treated Phil as a young man, as well as his whole family. We are very pleased to have him assume this position caring for you. He has been in private practice for 5 years and is excited about making the move to the McCarroll Dental office. He will be joined by the team you have known all this time (some have been with me for decades!): Judy and Mitzy in the front office, Kristen and Christie in hygiene and Lorinda as the chairside assistant. With this confident and capable team, Dr. Mangiaracina will be well supported, as well as mentored by me.

It has been my honor and privilege to serve you.

Wishing you all the best in the coming years,
Dr. Charles McCarroll
